Whoa! December was a total whirlwind of holiday goodness and travel and festivities. It got me a bit behind on my subscription box reviews, but I’m all caught up now and ready to share! There were some real gems in this month’s box collection, way too many to share here in fact so you’ll definitely want to click on those links to read the full reviews. They’ll give you some great ideas for gifting next year or just treats for yourself too. In the meantime, read on for my favorite item from each box I reviewed for the month of December!
From Petit Vour (full box review here):
KANI BOTANICALS Lip + Cheek Tint ($28)
Created with nourishing organic ingredients, this unique formula combines hydration and protection with rich mineral colors for a beautiful, natural finish on both lips and cheeks.
This lip and cheek tint’s color is perfection! It is the perfect red for both applications. It’s a middle red that hints toward the cool and deeper side. It says to apply sparingly and I can confirm, as a little of this product goes a long way. It has a creamier texture than I was expecting but it’s not greasy or overly glossy looking on skin. This could be applied lightly for day looks and more generously for evening. I’ve been eyeing this brand for a long time but have never tried any of their products. I think this one will become a staple in my routine.

Gypsy Soul Organics Peppermint Solid ($30)
Use this solid to restore balance. It relieves headache, upset stomach, sinus congestion, and neck tension with a cool, tingling feeling.
This peppermint solid is so wonderful! I’ve already used it a few times and I even used it to soothe my baby’s upset stomach. It smells calming and cooling and relaxes the mind. You can use it for headaches and nausea to ease discomfort by putting it on your temples or under your nose. It’s a bit more solid than I expected and doesn’t rub into skin quite as well as I thought, but I still really like it and will definitely get a lot of use out of it.
From California Found (full box review here):
Fiddlefish Chamomile Goat’s Milk Soap ($9)
Fiddle Fish is the creation of Los Angeles based chandler Jessica Aiello. They are a home + body line consisting of hand poured soy candles made exclusively in recycled containers, hand made goat’s milk soap and soothing bath soaks ranging from dead sea salt to Himalayan pink salt. They strive for purity and simplicity using the finest ingredients including essential oils and organic herbs in all of their products.
I love, love, love handcrafted soaps so this item is perfect! This soap has a soft and calming scent that I can’t stop smelling – it’s so nice! The bar is a creamy formula that contains all kinds of vitamins like D, C, B1, B6, B12, & E. It’s formulated with chamomile and goat’s milk to calm irritated skin, alleviate rashes, and soothe dry skin. So perfect for all the dry winter air my skin is being exposed to right now. I’ll be using this one so soon!

Peony Cosmetics Wonder Bloom In “Golden Vervain” ($15)
“A vegan, high-impact dual eyeshadow in beautiful shades of gilded bronze and dusky rose. The rich, creamy pigments allow it to be used both dry & wet without creasing or fading.”
This eyeshadow duo is so pretty! I immediately thought of holiday party eyes when I saw it. It’s warm, golden and shimmery and perfect for a bright smoky look. The pigment is creamy like they say and applies with great coverage. The plum and gold tones would look great on brown eyes, although would work for anyone. They both have a really nice irredescent/metallic look when applied to skin. I know I said I didn’t like the lipgloss above, but this duo does coordinate with it nicely since it’s warm and golden-y.

Dirty Lamb Ultra Night Serum ($52)
Want to look like you slept a full 8 hrs? High antioxidant blend of fatty acid oils will keep skin hydrated through the night. Wheat germ oil is natures power house of vitamin e that will bring liveliness to your night skin. Beautiful sweet dreams are on the way with a hint a lavender, ylang ylang, & orange. Apply 2-3 drops before bed. Warm oil between the palms of your hands and pat onto face & neck. Feel free to use when you need an antioxidant boost of hydration.
My skin is in full winter mode right now. It’s all dry and lacking moisture so it’s perfect timing to get this serum in this month’s box! It’s made with super hydrating ingredients and is formulated to rejuvenate skin while you sleep. It smells so nice. It’s light and calming and is made with lavender, ylang-ylang and orange oils. It’s lightweight and absorbs well into skin. I look forward to using this one all winter long!

Osea Sea Minerals Mist
I have always wanted to try products from Osea. They’ve been on my list for awhile now, but I just haven’t gotten to it yet so I’m super excited to find this product in this month’s selection. Not only is this one vegan, but all the ingredients are clean and safe for skin too. Many of them are even organic. Wild seaweed, aloe, Dead Sea salt and mineral peptides restore skin’s mineral balance. It’s a nourishing elixir that hydrates and preps skin for product absorption. It’s said to reduce redness and the appearance of pores. I always tone after cleansing and I really like the ingredients so I’ll be using this one up for sure.
I couldn’t pick just one from the Vegancuts Beauty Box so here’s another!
Wildland Organics Bare Ritual Oil
I recently discovered Wildland Organics in a different subscription box and I just love all their products so I’m excited to get to try another one out! This oil is an awesome multitasker and has many uses. It can be used as a face oil, a hair oil, a hand moisturizer or a deep scalp treatment. It’s primary use is as a face oil and it’s formulated to reduce lines and redness while providing hydration. It’s made with a nourishing blend of jojoba, olive, argan, baobab, camellia, olive, vitamin e, cranberry, red raspberry and hempseed oils. All ingredients are organic and a handful are even wildcrafted or fairtrade. It has no scent really, only a hint of earthiness from the natural aroma of the oils. It applies well and absorbs nicely leaving no greasy feeling. During the dry months I need extra hydration and care for my skin so I look forward to trying this one out.

Theo Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Bar
I love Theo Chocolate! And the Sea Salt flavor is one of my faves. This chocolate is organic and fair trade and has a super short and clean ingredient list. This will likely be the first item I dig into from this box. Can’t resist chocolate!
There’s my December round-up of subscription box favorites. Cheers to a happy new year of subscription box reviews!!
