You’ll have to forgive the delay on my February subscription box favorites round-up. Things have been a leeeetle busy as we prep for a cross country move over here! We’re really excited for our new adventure, but it’s definitely become a time consuming endeavor placing other things on the back-burner, but that’s to be expected. Lots to do, little time! But since I received another round of amazing goods in my boxes last month I had to share and found a few quiet moments to gather them together here and post for your perusing.
As usual, I’ve picked an item to highlight from each subscription box review I’ve done in the last month so you can get a taste for what comes in each. Be sure to click the link to get the full box reviews so you can get the complete details too! Many are linked over to A Year of Boxes where you can find discount codes and more if you’re interested in subscribing.
From Nourish Beauty Box (full box review here):
28 Litsea Wild Citrus Body Oil ($22)
“Beautifully blended with nourishing oils of meadowfoambaobab and vegan squalane. These fast absorbing oils moisturize and replenish the skin.”
I have been wanting to try this brand and specifically saw a recommendation for this body oil so this is such a great surprise! I love body oils and will be using this one a lot, and not just because it’s lightweight, easy to apply and absorbs really well, but also because it smells amazing! I’m not sure what the essential oil blend is exactly, but it smells a little like citrus and vanilla. So good!
From Goddess Provisions Box (full box review here):
Kate’s Magik Isis & Rebirth Anointing Oil ($18)
“Inspired by the Egyptian goddess of death & rebirth, this sacred blend will lure you into the present moment with the enchanting scent of vanilla and Moroccan rose.”
This essential oil blend smells amazing! The combo of vanilla a rose is soft, sweet and comforting – like a loving hug. It’s intended to be used in an intention setting ritual to inspire rebirth, or out with the old an in with the new. I really like that and could use heaps of that kind of energy right now, so I’ll be putting this to use right away.
From Vegancuts Beauty Box (full box review here):
Chiky Botanica – Serene Serum ($56)
“Key ingredients include blue tansy with its healing benefits and lapis lazuli gem essence used for releasing stress and bringing peace. Apply this calming facial serum to restore and regenerate skin. Gently massage into cleansed, toned skin morning and night.”
This serum is so beautiful with it’s deep green color! It smells beautiful too, definitely like blue tansy, which is like a sweet and floral citrus aroma – very uplifting and calming. It’s said to calm and soothe irritated, red, uneven, blemish prone or tired skin. Definitely have a mix of those problems so I look forward to trying this one out. Especially since it not only calms the skin but the senses too, love a multi-tasking product!
From Vegancuts Snack Box (full box review here):
Whoa Dough Cookie Dough Bars
“Guilt-free cookie dough in assorted flavors (you can even bake them).”
Yum! I love brownies but have been limiting my sweets consumption so haven’t had them much lately. Maybe this can be a healthier alternative for when I get a craving. I can’t wait to try this one!
From Kinder Beauty (full box review here):
Four Sigmatic: Mushroom Cacao with Reishi ($20)
“Chill with your elevated evening ritual: Mushroom Cacao with Reishi. Swap your nightcap before you head to bed with a good-for-you European-style hot chocolate. Unrefined cacao joins Reishi mushroom which helps to support sleep and occasional stress. Just add hot water for a pre-bed routine that tastes like dessert and feels like a dream.”
This sounds delicious! I love getting an item that focuses on creating beauty from the inside out. This cacao sounds really tasty, perfect for cold snowy days and I appreciate that it has added health benefits for stress and sleep. Can’t wait to try this one!
From Essentials Crate (full box review here):
Essential Living Dish Brush and Sponge Set
This item is SO awesome, and seems like such a good value. The drawstring bag includes three (what appear to be) natural-made scrubber sponges, a wooden dish brush with a replacement head, and another wooden scrubber brush tool that looks like it would be good for bottles. The only thing that would be helpful is if there was like an information tag included so you would know what materials these are made of and how to dispose of them once done using, ie: composting.
From greenUP (full box review here):
Dish Washing Block ($12)
“No more plastic dish soap containers! This dish block from No Tox Life is handmade in California. It will cut grease in your pans and clean the dishes. It also lasts a really really long time. Just rub your scrub brush, loofah sponge, or wash cloth gentle on the block and use. Or add a few shavings to your sink filled with water. Not for use in your dishwasher. Check us out on IG to see the various ways you can use the dish washing block.”
Love dishwashing blocks! It certainly reduces a ton of plastic waste not having to have liquid dish soap which is awesome. I would say, personally these are easiest to use if you have a soap dish and a scrubber brush so it does require a few more tools, but all are long lasting and reusable.
From Merkaela (full box review here):
Rosemary Herbal Body Butter ($30)
“The herbal body butter is the ultimate deep hydrating nourishment for your skin. Encourages blood circulation and invigorates the senses with Rosemary’s fresh balsamic aroma. Use it to preserve youthful skin by protecting it from environmental free-radicals. Our selective infused oils such as Shea, Jojoba and Babassu; will further deepen your botanical experience. Providing the body with the essential nutrients it craves at the deepest levels.”
Wow this smells amazing! I can’t stop smelling it! It smells so fresh and herbal and plant-like with a tiny hint of sweetness – it’s like your out in a crisp, dewy, life-filled forest. I always love the body butters that come in this box, but this might be my favorite yet. It’s texture is a little less fluffy than those I’ve previous received, but it melts into skin so nicely and feels so good. Plus, did I mention the smell? So good! This is so perfect for winter.
