I’ve got a new monthly subscription box favorite items post for ya today rounding up the best of the best. I received a few new boxes this month that came with so many great items it was hard to pick favorites but I narrowed it down to one from each. Really though, they were all packed to the brim with goodness so be sure to check out my full reviews (each linked below!).
From Petit Vour (full box review here):
Akar Skin Balancing Toning Mist ($12)
“Achieve true balance with this fine, non-sticky mist of rose and orange blossom. Spritz to provide gentle hydration, neutralize pH, and to allow greater absorption of nutrients.”
I liked this product immediately based on the packaging- the red is very eye-catching! After looking at the ingredients and smelling the aroma I liked it even more. Which leads me to believe I’ll enjoy using it too! This toning mist is meant to help balance skin and maintain it’s pH level so nutrients can absorb better and environmental toxins stay out. It smells so lovely since it’s made with organic rose and neroli flower waters. Rose water is an antioxidant source and neroli water is an anti-inflammatory agent. Those ingredients along with white willow bark (an exfoliator) and saffron cell extract (for skin cell repair) keep skin healthy and bright.

Wildland Organics Cocoon Tea Blend ($12)
“Designed to be a balm for the soul, Cocoon Tea is lovingly handcrafted, is an enchanting blend of curative herbs designed as a facial steam, hair treatment, and mindful self-care experience. And yes, you can drink it too!”
I love a good facial steam and this one smells so wonderful! Facial steams are a great way to detox and brighten skin while reducing inflammation too. Not only are they good for skin, but also good for the mind. This one in particular is crafted to provide support for those experiencing stress, loss or seasonal sadness. As the season’s change I definitely can feel seasonal sadness coming on, so along with every day stress, I could really use this one! It smells amazing – very bright and energizing with a soothing and calm undertone. It’s made with chrysanthemum, French lavender, wildcrafted marshmallow root, burdock root, and moroccan rosemary (most of them organic too). After a steam the tea can be saved and used for a leave-in hair conditioner, facial mist or bath soap. I love that it’s multipurpose! Lastly, there is a meditation they’ve created to coordinate with this tea specifically that can be found on their website. A meditation ritual couldn’t be easier!
From California Found (full box review here):
Bon Vivant Designs Amethyst Rollerball and Sleep Essential Oil Blend ($39)
- “Bon Vivant Designs is obsessed with building beauty and a little luxury into all things leather, metal and stone.
- They are committed to preserving our planet’s future by using only recycled, lead-free pewter and recycled leather whenever possible.”
This roller ball is filled with an essential oil blend to help encourage restful sleep and help with insomnia. It’s made with vanilla, benzoin, bergamot, ylang ylang and lavender essential oils. It smells, soft, soothing, calming and restful and would be great to apply to wrists or temples right before bed. The raw amethyst stones within the oil blend along with the polished amethyst roller ball are said to bring calming energies to help with insomnia, physical ailments and emotional issues. This will be a great addition to my nightstand for use every night. I need all the sleep help I can get!
From Nourish Beauty Box (full box review here):
Seraphine Botanicals Sakura + Sage Vegan Eyeshadow and Blush Palette ($24.99)
“A talc-free makeup palette for the eyes and cheeks. Infused with herbal oils and extracts to impart skin with a silky glowing finish.”
Such a fun item to find in this month’s box! I’ve never received a palette before in a subscription box so it feels like a treat to get multiple products in one. The variety of colors in this palette are so pretty and fun. There is a good mix of neutrals and bold accents. The two blushes are both warm with coral tones, one is just a bit more orange-y. The eyeshadows range from copper and pink neutrals with light shimmer to a dark brown with no shimmer and a silver with ultra shimmer. All around, a very versatile item! I also like that the palette isn’t made out of plastic so it’s more eco-friendly packaging.
From Kinder Beauty Box (full box review here):
Journey Hair Care Hydration Mask ($27)
“The Hydration Treatment works deep into the cuticle of the hair- repairing dry, damaged and brittle hair from the inside out for long term results! Journey is created in the beautiful hills of Byron Bay and was created so women all around the world can experience healthy, long and strong hair! Journey is packed with hydrating and healing ingredients such as aloe vera, shea butter and honeysuckle!.”
My hair is in serious need of moisture as the temperatures start to fall so I’m hoping the hair mask can help me out. It’s made with some super hydrating ingredients like aloe, macadamia nut oil, cocoa butter and shea butter. It smells really nice, kind of nutty, and is a medium consistency cream, not too thick. The instructions say to apply to towel dried hair for about 30 minutes once a week. I’ve only ever tried masks that take less time and can be done in the shower so the longer time to set might be my only small downside with this one. The logistics can be hard to figure out haha. Anyway, I’m still really excited to try this and hope it can soften and hydrate my hair.
From Nature’s Beauty Box (full box review here):
Vo Beauty Sleeping Beauty Mask (1oz size is $22.50)
“This innovative, multi-purpose gel mask can be used as an overnight mask, moisturizer or makeup primer. Give your stressed, dry or dull skin an intense does of moisture.”
This product is really intriguing to me! I’m definitely in need of some serious hydration as we head into winter so I will be testing this soon for sure. I’ve never tried an overnight mask so I think that’s where I’ll start with the use. A thin layer at night on clean skin is said to lead to hydrated, toned and plumped skin the next morning. It’s made with royal jelly, which is secreted by honey bees, and provides deep softening and hydration for skin. It contains complex B vitamins, amino acids, fatty acids and minerals to nourish skin while you sleep. I really like that it’s an oil free hydration option since I’ve been minimizing oil application to my skin currently. It smells amazing – like sweet roses – and would be the perfect relaxing scent to fall to sleep to.
There’s my October round-up of subscription box favorites. Do you subscribe to any of these boxes or have you tried any of these products?
