Goddess Provisions Box: May

We’re continuing on with the chakra theme in this month’s Goddess Provisions Box. As a reminder, chakras are energy centers in the body. By keeping them open and energies flowing freely you help keep your body healthy and in a positive state. If you didn’t see my previous posts, last month’s theme (here) was the upper 3 chakras (crown, third eye and throat) and March’s theme was all about Ayurveda in general (related to chakras, and you can see the post here). This month’s theme is “Root down to rise up” and is all about the lower 3 chakras: solar plexus […]

The Tuesday (aka Sunday) Scoop #12

Holy cow sometimes life gets so busy and crazy. Hence why I’m here on a Tuesday sharing my usual Sunday Scoop. Between having visitors, cleaning for said visitors, getting sick with an unexpected spring cold (what the heck, aren’t colds only for wintertime?!) and then enjoying all the warm weather I can soak up the blog has been on the back burner. But I’ve been collecting some fun reads over the last few weeks that I had to pop in and share. Before I get to that though I just have to note that I went to the Taylor Swift […]

Put to the Test – Round 4

I’m here with another samples post, aka: the low-down on my first impressions of another round of fab products. Samples are a great way to try products you’re unsure about or might have never otherwise tried. I think that’s why I love them so much. Maybe I’m a product commitment-phobe, but whatever, I just like to be sure before I spend my money on something. Not only because I hate wasting money, but I also hate wasting products. I’m sure there’s some stat about how much we Americans waste every year by throwing away half used products (I couldn’t find […]

The Sunday Scoop #11

It’s Mother’s Day today, a day filled with mixed emotions for many. I celebrate it full of happiness and love for my mom, mother-in-law and grandmas who are the best moms in the world but I also celebrate it with emotions that are less happy and more like, “can we just get past this day?” for me and all the others that I know who are struggling to get to motherhood or have decided it’s not the path for them anymore. It can be tough, but over the years this day has become easier because I know that regardless of […]

The Sunday Scoop #10

So I meant to bring you a Sunday Scoop last week, but it ended up being a quiet week around the blog this week purposefully. I was just having a take-a-break-from-writing kind of moment. You know the feeling, right? That sometimes a break from something you love brings even more creativity when you get back to it. Like absence makes the heart grow fonder, no? Speaking of growing…I’ve spent this weekend going to greenhouses and making some plans for our garden and landscaping. How do you not get overwhelmed by the choices?? I look at all the flowers and want […]

FertileGirl Superfood Nutrition Bars

It’s really inspiring to me when people take the challenges of infertility and make something great out of it (besides a baby!).  A great example being Allison, the founder of FertileGirl as she struggled with infertility herself and found successful with IVF after going back to the basics of managing stress, exercising more and of course focusing on optimal nutrition and then turned her knowledge into a company that helps others going through the same thing. What’s also inspiring is that at some point in her journey she decided to stop being quiet about her struggles and share her story […]

National Infertility Awareness Week 2018

As you may have seen from my Instagram posts, it’s National Infertility Awareness Week this week and the theme is “Flip the Script” because it’s time to change the narrative surrounding this disease and support those going through it. Infertility is a disease of the reproductive system which results in the the “failure to establish a clinical pregnancy after 12 months of regular, unprotected sexual intercourse” (although I don’t like the term failure). It’s often kept hush-hush, not talked about, swept under the rug and not thought of as big of a concern as it is. It’s time to shed […]

The Sunday Scoop #9 – NIAW Special Edition

Hey friends! Today marks the official start of the 2018 National Infertility Awareness Week. It’s a week to raise awareness about the disease that affects 1 in 8 couples of childbearing age in order to shed stigmas and help increase knowledge so those who suffer feel supported and less alone. I’ve got lotsa content commin’ at ya later this week but for starters I wanted to put together my usual Sunday links post with a fertility twist. I’ve been gathering these links for awhile, so forgive me if they aren’t up-to-the-minute current, but they are still 100% worthy of sharing. […]

Earth Day 2018

Your gonna have to buckle up people because this week the awareness campaigns for two of the things I’m most passionate about collide – the earth and fertility. April is Earth month (with Sunday of course being Earth Day) and this week is National Infertility Awareness week so I’ve got several posts commin’ at ya. I think their colliding is kind of perfect because they’re both so interconnected. Mother earth’s fertility depends on us caring for her and our fertility depends on us caring for ourselves. Fertility is at the root of it all people, whether you’d like to admit […]
