Welcome to the start of fall subscription boxes everyone! Did you remember that the first official day of fall was September 21? Or were you actively trying to ignore that fact like me? Ha! It was a beautiful day here on the 21st, 75 degrees and sunny. Sure there was a crispness to the air and the sun has been slowly setting earlier and earlier, but it still felt like summer to me. I’ll take all the warmer days I can get! This month’s subscription boxes brought all kinds of amazing goods to keep my mood lifted, just as summer always does, which will help transition me softly into this fall season.
As usual, I’ve picked an item to highlight from each subscription box review I’ve done in the last month so you can get a taste for what comes in each. Be sure to click the link to get the full box reviews so you can get the full box details too! Many are linked over A Year of Boxes where you can find discount codes and more if you’re interested in subscribing.

Emanate Essentials Cami Rose Exfoliating Grains ($18.50)
“A gentle way to slough away dead skin cells with a formulation made of ultra-fine exfoliators such as organic oat powder and brown rice and a coconut-derived surfactant.”
Now this item I can get excited about! I think dry cleansing grains are so unique and useful. The lack of water extends their shelf life and allows them to be packaged plastic free easily. I also like how they are a double duty cleanser and exfoliator in one. This one smells SO amazing, like a big hit of chamomile (so grounding) with a touch of rose. The texture is such a fine grain that it would be great for a super gentle exfoliation for any skin type. I can’t wait to try these out!

HBC Organics – Coffee Exfoliation Soap
“When Jes began making cold process soaps for her sensitive skin, she never imagined that her soaps would spread all across the United States and into Canada. She started making soaps as a hobby and it quickly turned into a teeny tiny hobby business. She added whipped body butters (a huge fan favorite), facial products, and a baby line & she was officially in businesses. Over the past 9 years, not only her business has grown, but she also got married, welcomed 2 wild little boys, and began attending school to become a traditional naturopathic doctor.”
I love handmade soap and always have a big collection of it! I’m excited to find this lovely bar in this month’s box to add to my stash. It smells like a sweet, light coffee and looks to have exfoliating coffee grounds mixed in. Coffee aroma is the best in the morning so this is great to add to a shower experience to start the day.
From Goddess Provisions August Box (since it arrived after my last recap) (full box review here):
Goddess Provisions Divination Teacup & Saucer ($33)
“Enjoy a cup of loose leaf tea in this mystical porcelain teacup and discover the art of tasseography. Reflect on a question as you sip. When finished, observe the tea leaf configurations set against the map of the moon phases for insight into your inquiry Learn how to read messages in your cup at goddessprovisons.com/tasseography”
Ok, first of all this is so cute! I love the moon phases and sun designs. This is such a unique and fun item to receive and is something I’ve never found in a subscription box before. I also really love that there is intention beyond just sipping tea with it’s use. I’ve never heard of tasseography before and am so intrigued to incorporation it into a tea drinking ritual. I can’t wait to learn more and try it out for my self!

Species By The Thousands Crystal Oracle Deck ($25)
“This 54 card deck contains the powers of intention, crystal energy and color therapy. Intuitively draw a card to discover which tools will keep you feeling balanced and empowered each day.”
Ok, if I had to pick, this might be my favorite item in the box! What a fun and unique item. I love crystals, colors and meditating on intentions so this is the best of all worlds. I mean, the color spectrum in this box is just so pleasing to the eye, isn’t it?! It’s great that these can even be used as like a crystal-learning flash card set of sorts to learn each stones primary healing power. So fun!
From Naturally Crated (full box review here):
Welltold Co Vitamin D ($24) 0 + N + E + V + GF + US + SB + HC
“A 100% plant-based vitamin D supplement that helps with the maintenance of bones, teeth and general health!”
I have been eyeing this brand of supplements for a long time now (cute packaging always gets me intrigued) and have been wanting to try them out so this is another perfect item to receive. My vitamin D levels are usually low and I am always taking a supplement for it so that’s another reason why this is a great item for me. I mean, many people are low in vitamin D so it’s not a bad supplement for anyone to take, especially those living in colder winter climates who don’t get much sun for a portion of the year. It’s especially great that these are totally plant based and all natural with no funky business- just the vitamins. Oh, and it’s a nice little bonus that they gave a sample of one of their other supplements, “Energy” – I had been wanting to try that one too!
From Vegancuts Beauty Box (full box review here):
Style Fox Super Greens Mask ($15)
“A powerful antioxidant-rich blend of nutrient-dense green superfoods, healing hemp seed, exfoliating fruit enzymes, and deep cleansing clays to supercharge your complexion.”
At first glance I thought this might be a sheet mask, but it’s actually a dry mask packet which I prefer. It’s a fairly small package, but it says the concentrated formula makes up to 10 masks so that’s a great value. It says it’s good for all skin types and helps to detox and brighten. I like to do masks every couple of nights so I look forward to adding this one to my mix.
From Vegancuts Snack Box (full box review here):
Uplift Gut Happy Cookies
“Yummy little treats powered by fruits and veggies”
What a fun way to take your probiotics! These little sandwich cookies contain 1 billion cfu of probiotics in the sunflower butter cream between the cookies which contain prebiotics themselves. It says they taste slightly salty with a touch of sweet. They’re only sweetened with coconut sugar and monk fruit too which is nice.
From Yogi Secret (full box review here):
EiR Hydrating Face Mist ($35)
“A few spritzes of this simple toner work to hydrate and balance your skin tone, making it a perfect addition to your everyday skincare routine.”
This face mist sounds lovely and refreshing, not unlike a crisp, sweet fall day. It smells just like that too, a bit earthy and a bit floral, with the aromas of rose, jasmine and geranium. I love trying new toners in my skincare routine and think this will be the perfect one for the fall season.
From Kinder Beauty (full box review here):
Ettitude Bamboo Silk Eye Shade (Blue) ($18)
“Designed with an eco-attitude in Melbourne and Los Angeles, ettitude makes sustainable lifestyle and home essentials that are soft on your skin and gentle on the planet. This is my favorite item from this box! What a beautiful sleep mask! I wish you could feel the texture of the fabric. It’s so soft, smooth and calming. It truly is reminiscent of silk like they say, but is vegan and more affordable too. It’s also a larger eye mask so it will definitely help keep the light out and keep me sleeping sound. I love that they included this is a non-traditional beauty tool. Sleep is so important to overall health and wellness – beauty sleep really is a thing!
There’s my September round-up of subscription box favorites. Check back next month for more fun and favorites! 🙂
