Holy cow! I truly cannot believe we are halfway through the year at this point. That means half of a year’s subscription boxes have already arrived on my doorstep! It’s been a really good six months for subscription boxes and I’ve been able to discover many helpful, useful, sustainable, eco-friendly and green products so far. Since summer is my favorite season I anticipate the next few months sending extra-great themed contents, but before I get ahead of myself I’ve got to share what fun finds I discovered this month.
Read on for my favorites from each subscription box I reviewed for June. Be sure to click the link to get the full box reviews so you can get all the details too! Many are linked over A Year of Boxes where you can find discount codes and more if you’re interested in subscribing.

La Bloom Beauty Bloom Facial Mist ($21)
“A refreshing and hydrating face mist made with aloe vera, rose, sweet orange and eucalyptus oils that will give you the perfect mid-day pick me up!”
This sounds like such a nice toner. It smells so refreshing! The perfect blend of aloe and floral – a calming and soothing scent. It feels light, yet hydrating on skin. This product can be used as a toner, a makeup setter or a refresher spray. It reminds me of breezy summer evenings, so maybe a cool down spray after a day in the sun too!

All Good SPF 30 Mineral Sport Sunscreen ($6)
“This texture is everything. It’s a sunscreen that doesn’t feel like a sunscreen, rather a lightweight lotion. Minimal smell and it isn’t sticky at all.”
I’ve been wanting to try out this sunscreen brand but just hadn’t purchased yet so I’m so glad to find a trial size in this month’s beauty box! I’ve read such good things about it so I’m excited to try it out now. It really is lighter weight than most other clean sunscreens I’ve tried out and it rubs in really well and relatively quickly. I see minimal, if any, white cast which is always a concern for me since that gets so messy. This doesn’t appear to have any scent that I can detect which is great and it’s not at all greasy. This seems like a winner to me – now just to test it out in the sun.

Dang Coconut Chips Chocolate Sea Salt
I love Dang Bars but haven’t tried these Coconut Chips yet. They sound and look delicious so it’s awesome to get a full sized pack of them. I’m glad they are the chocolate flavor too as I love chocolate flavored anything. There is a bit of sugar added to these chips, which I’m sure makes them extra delicious, but also more like a treat too. These would be great on their own but sound tasty for a yogurt, oatmeal or ice cream topping. I’ll have to try them on each!

Eco Lips Mongo Kiss Shimmer Lip Balm
“Eco Lips is more than a lip balm. We use our products to compel our great ideals: healthy and active lifestyles and a deep respect for the soil we tread on. This philosophy is intended to create harmony with all of those whose lives we touch, and this great planet Mother Earth. We bring this to our products, as well as projects like our Solar Power Initiative and the Organic Endurathon. We are lip-lovin’ dedicated employees producing millions of lips balms annually, found domestically and abroad We love the world, and we are changing it for the better, one set of lips at a time.”
I’ve used Mongo Kiss Lip Balm before and I really like it. I had no idea that they came out with a shimmer version. It’s so pretty and fun! Out of the 3 different flavor options I received the “Pixie Dust” “Sherbet” lip balm. It’s a subtle, sheer, iridescent shimmer color and has a delicious juicy fruit scent. It glides on smooth and feels moisturizing. These would be perfect for teens, but I’m still into using it as an adult too! I love that they’re made with natural and organic ingredients so you can feel good about putting it on your lips.

Modern Sprout Healing Aloe Hydro Grow Kit ($19.99) N + E + V + GF + US + SB
“This terracotta kit has a glazed interior and is outfitted with a passive hydroponic system known as “wicking,” which brings water and nutrients up to the plant’s roots. So whether you forget to water, overwater, or both, this planter’s got you covered. Comes equipped with everything you’ll need to start growing your non-GMO aloe plant. Just add water and set in a sunny window.”
How cool is this?! It’s a self-watering aloe growing kit that’s perfect for those that love indoor plants, but might have trouble keeping them alive (that’s often me!). Not only is the product concept super awesome, but aloe itself is such an amazing plant too. It is so useful for the skin and many other health ailments too. My grandma always kept the plant in her kitchen to quickly aid with cuts and burns from cooking. This will be going in my kitchen window right away. I can’t wait to see how quickly it grows!

Chamomile Face Toner | Gypsy Soul Organics ($30)
“If you loved GSO’s face toner in a past box, wait ’til you try this one! Calming Chamomile and soothing Blue Tansy Flowers together with a base of Rosewater, Aloe Vera Leaf, and Witch Hazel Leaf instantly soothes and softens skin. The super-fine heavenly mist is perfect to spritz on clean skin to set makeup, to keep skin dewy and to freshen face throughout hot summer days.”
This toner smells heavenly! It’s an earthy, grounding floral scent that comes from rosewater, chamomile, blue tansy, ylang ylang, patchouli, tangerine and sweet orange peel. It smells like a wonderful refresher for after a hot day. Because of the ingredients included it also sounds like it would calm skin and reduce inflammation so perhaps not only good for skin concerns, but maybe also for sunburn relief too. I look forward to trying this one out!

Stardust Clay Mask
This mask is the prettiest hue of pink! It’s a dry clay mask that you add a liquid like water to in order to form a paste to apply to skin. It’s a gentle facial detox that’s said to tone skin, improve circulation and balance oil production. The ingredient list includes organic rose kaolin clay bentonite clay, shatavari, turmeric and sandalwood – simple and all natural. I love, love, love clay masks not only for their healing properties, but because they help create a ritual and make me slow down for moments of self-care. This will likely be the product I dig into first!

Luna Nectar Nocturne Magnesium Spray ($16.50)
This topical sleep support potion is made with magnesium, aloe vera, lavender and sweet orange essential oils. Spray onto your skin to relax your body and mind before climbing into bed.
This is the product I purchased the whole box for as I figured it would be a good way to try out a smaller bottle of it before purchasing a larger size. I’ve been using this almost nightly since I got it and I think it has improved the amount of times I wake up during the night. Magnesium helps encourage relaxation and promote better sleep. It is better processed in your body when absorbed directly through the skin rather than passing through the digestive system making a this topical spray form a great choice. It easily sprays onto skin, but I’ve found it to be a little watery so needs further rubbing in after spraying on. The scent is super light, yet pleasant. I’m happy I made the box purchase to be able to try out this item!
There’s my June round-up of subscription box favorites. Check back next month for more favorites! 🙂
