It’s that time again! I’ve tried a ton of samples this month and wanted to share my favorite finds. With winter around the corner I’ve been drawn towards all things moisturizing. Have you tried any of these? What have been your favorite finds for the last month?? Check out my finds below:
Northlore – Rosehip and Rosemary Toning Spray
It looks like the formula for this product recently changed to be solely a Rosehip Toning Mist which is A-OK in my book because that’s a powerhouse ingredient that I’m sure still refreshes the same. Rosehips are full of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and antioxidants that all help to replenish and repair damaged skin on the cellular level. The rosehips used are hand-picked and steamed to distill them down to a hydrosol mist. It’s refreshing and hydrating and can be used on the face or body. I like spraying it on my face, neck and chest after showering to hydrate without leaving a residue that could get on clothes. Also, as an interesting side note: Rosehips are a symbol of prosperity and fertility. I’ve gotta start amping up my use of this for good fertility vibes!
Oxalis – Louisa Body Oil
I’ve become hooked on body oils recently and this one is such a delight! It’s made with essential oils of ylang-ylang and clary sage oils (both fantastic for fertility) along with Bergamot all in a blend of golden jojoba, organic pumpkin seed, meadowfoam and calendula oils. This blend is said to keep skin balanced and hydrated while toning and regenerating. The essential oils give it a fresh, floral scent with an “I’m a strong female” undertone. I use all over but also like to rub on my abdomen for a boost of feminine energy.
W3LL People – Universalist Colorstick, Nude Rose
I love this color! It’s perfect for cheeks any time of the year with a warm coral-ey, dusty rose color. It’s is intended to be used for cheeks, eyes or lips. I’ve really only used on my cheeks, so that’s all I can attest to right now. It’s easy to apply and blend in. The color lasts all day and doesn’t fade either. The pigment is so rich that a little goes a long way and so it really lasts a long time!
Trilogy – Rosehip Oil
There’s a rosehip theme this month! I got this awhile back in a sample bag from Whole Foods but forgot about it until I had a few pesky dry skin patches on my face that needed healing. I was looking through my stash for something extra-nourishing and decided to give this a try. I’ve been using it and the patches have really been healing up. Like I mentioned above, rosehip is extra nourishing and full of active naturals that repair skin. It’s fantastic for helping to improve the appearance of scars, stretchmarks, fine lines and wrinkles. It also has a pleasant scent that soothes the senses. This rosehip oil is certified organic with a minimum of 80% fatty acid content ensuring potency. Also, a little of this goes a long way too so I imagine this will last me a long time.
Remix by Giselle – Flow Body Oil – Communication Therapy
This aromatherapy body oil reminds me of the suntans, free-spirits, warm sun and the perfect day away from your cares at the beach – and that’s one thing I can’t get enough of. I love rolling this on my pulse points and just inhaling with deep breaths to conjure happy and calm images of the vast blue ocean. This body oil is intended to open creativity and communication and bring energies that let you let-things-go. Top notes include bergamot (balances mood swings), neroli (eases restlessness) and rosewood (generates optimism).
Flourish Body Care – Rosewood Infusion Hand + Body Lotion
This lotion is light and non-greasy and carries a light woodsy-feminine scent (from the rosewood and black pepper oils). It not too thick, rubs in easily and doesn’t leave any residue. It’s hydrating and soothes skin. I like to use this before bed since the aroma is calming. Rosewood is said to impart feelings of happiness and strength.
